Lord of the White Field was a horror/suspense adventure written for Dungeon that went on to become the most popular of 2011. It deals with ghoul-fueled apocalyptic themes by combining classic crawl fare with new mechanics designed to take it to the next level while keeping things familiar and easy to use. As atmosphere is so crucial to the genre, everything was arranged to help promote a feeling of teetering on the edge, of facing down odds that just couldn’t be overcome by dint of arms.
